Family Advocacy and Support Service

The Family Advocacy and Support Service (FASS) provides duty lawyer and social support services to people with family law matters who have been affected by family violence. The Legal Services Commission of SA also has duty lawyers at the Family Law Courts able to assist in matters where the person is not affected by family violence.

Services include:

Fines Enforcement and Recovery Unit

Manages new and overdue fines and debts issued by agencies across SA. Contact to organise a payment arrangement plan.

If you are experiencing difficulty paying your overdue fines you can apply for a payment arrangement plan assistance. This will give you more time to pay your fines and more options in how you pay.

The Insurance Law Service, run by the Financial Rights Legal Centre, provides free specialist legal advice and support to help people resolve disputes with insurance companies.

The Insurance Law Service is a dedicated legal advice service for consumers experiencing problems with insurance claims. It helps people understand their policy, challenge denied or delayed claims, and navigate complaints processes with insurers and the Australian Financial Complaints Authority (AFCA).

Partners with pro bono lawyers to help South Australians resolve their legal issues.

JusticeNet SA refers South Australians to a network of existing legal service providers willing to assist on a pro bono basis (free or at reduced cost). JusticeNet can also assist charitable and community organisations.

The Limestone Coast Community Justice Centre is a community legal centre that offers free, confidential legal advice, referrals and ongoing legal representation to people living in the South East and Limestone Coast regions of South Australia.

The Centre consists of 3 dedicated local solicitors, a mental health support worker and highly experienced support staff.
