Accommodation Services

Support and accommodation for young pregnant women and mothers.

There are several services available to provide support and accommodation for young pregnant women and young mothers and their children or young families who are currently homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. These services can be approached directly or through referrals from family, friends, government agencies, or non-government organizations.


Louise Place (Fullarton):

  • Targeted for young women aged 18 and under.
  • Provides 24-hour supported accommodation and services to help them live independently.
  • Focuses on developing parenting and life skills.
  • Offers support in accessing medical and government services.
  • Provides outreach services for young women up to the age of 25 who choose not to live at Louise Place.


Malvern Place (North Adelaide):

  • Designed for women aged 25 and under.
  • Offers a safe and secure environment in individual fully-furnished family units.
  • Provides support for pregnancy or parenting issues, personal goals, education, training, and long-term housing.
  • Includes on-site specialist children's support, connections with community child care providers, and community health services.
  • Continued support through the outreach program even after leaving Malvern Place.


Coolock House (Morphett Vale):

  • Caters to women aged 25 and under.
  • Provides 24-hour supported accommodation in individual fully-furnished family units.
  • Offers support for pregnancy or parenting challenges, personal goal setting, education, training, and independent living skills.
  • Assists with the transition into long-term housing.
  • Provides on-site playgroup, crèche, specialist children's workers, and links to child care providers and community health services.
  • Ongoing assistance beyond the stay at Coolock House.


Findon Family Housing (West Adelaide):

  • Provides supported accommodation to young families up to the age of 25.
  • Supports pregnant or parenting individuals who are homeless or at risk of homelessness with low support needs.
  • Offers one-on-one support and connects families with local community services.
  • Covers pregnancy, parenting, life skills development, personal goals, education, training, and finding affordable long-term housing.
  • Rent is charged by Housing SA, and families are responsible for utilities and living expenses.


Hannah Place (Pooraka):

  • Offers support and accommodation to young women who are pregnant or parenting.
  • Houses young women aged up to 18 years in self-contained units with on-site support.
  • Provides cooking lessons, craft activities, parenting and pregnancy education.
  • Collaborates with visiting services to deliver comprehensive support.


These services aim to provide a safe and nurturing environment for young pregnant women and mothers, empowering them to develop essential skills, access necessary services, and secure stable housing for themselves and their children.
